Eric Pochas has worked in employee benefits and health care operations for over 20 years. He has been part of the Baker Tilly Vantagen team since 2000.

Eric specializes in these key areas:

• Employee Benefits Administration
• COBRA Administration
• Account-Based Benefits Administration (FSA, HRA, HSA, QTEP)
• Benefits Communications
• Service Operations, and
• Regulatory Compliance, including the Affordable Care Act

At Baker Tilly Vantagen, Eric brings the following attributes and experiences to each client relationship:

• Ensures overall responsibility for the benefits administration services provided by Vantagen to over 75 employers and 15 benefits consulting partnerships
• Leads a group of 10 unit/account managers and specialized support resources
• Serves as a member of Baker Tilly Vantagen’s senior leadership team
• Serves on Baker Tilly Vantagen’s HIPAA Compliance Committee
• Serves as a member of Baker Tilly’s ACA Advisory Team

Prior to joining Baker Tilly Vantagen, Eric served as a consultant and project manager for CIGNA HealthCare in Hartford, CT. Here, Eric supported various strategic national service and eligibility improvement initiatives.

Eric holds a BA degree from Marywood University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

His professional affiliations include the Employee Benefits Institute of America, the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and the Health Care Reform Center and Policy Institute. In 2014, Eric attained Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist designation from the Health Care Reform Center and Policy Institute. In 2006, Eric completed Baker Tilly’s first Advanced Senior Leader Program, a three-year initiative designed to enhance the skills of select Firm leaders.
